NAC Comms
Most Promising New Business 2005
Sponsored by BT

NAC Comms was named the Most Promising New Business at the Chamber Awards 2005 Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony.

Quick to address healthcare telephony issues
NAC Comms, a member of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, was launched in 2004 to provide a better service-led telephone option for medium and large multi-site businesses across the UK, specialising in healthcare organisations. NAC recognised common telephony problems that were being experienced across the healthcare industry – mainly that organisations inherit a vast array of telecoms equipment, systems, procedures, and telecoms contracts with no inventory, inadequate billing systems and overall a lack of control of the telephone system – and addressed them in simple and effective solution.

In its first year NAC Comms generated a turnover of £600,000 with a profit margin of 28%.

Sector success
The Most Promising New Business award was given to the business which demonstrated the most impressive success in the length of time that the company has been operating. The award was given to NAC Comms because of the success that it achieved in its first year, and also because of the progress that it has made in the healthcare sector, which has resulted in being approached by the NHS.

What the award means to NAC Comms
Mark Boyde, Director, NAC Comms Ltd, said: “Winning this national award is a cast iron validation of the customer service policies we have put into place from the beginning, and of course the sheer effort that our staff put into their work every single day. It's a win for them and makes my constant nagging about the importance of polite and professional service, seem almost worthwhile.”
